    New NIN

By Dieter Orens | 0 Reactions so far…

After Radiohead having released their album In Rainbows as a digital download, now NIN is following with their new album Ghosts. They offer five different download options ranging from a free one to a limited deluxe edition, which already has sold out.

I truly think this is the future for music. The time of vinyl has long gone, and cd's never really could replace that. What cd has a lifespan of a vinyl record? Cd's are trash. Offering multiple digital options on the web, ready for download and in different price categories so every social class can enjoy it, is the way to go. Artists will take back the power in their own hands, not being completely dependant on their record company anymore, but using the social power of the web to broaden their audience.

Now go and grab your copy.
