I'm pretty happy to see IE8 embrace microformats. I'm using the hAtom/hfeed microformat as markup for my blog for more than a year now, and in fact, a webslice is not a lot different from that. The huge difference is that now there finally will be a useful way for them to have impact and effect on the average user. Internet explorer implementing this, will open it for mass consumption and will hopefully  help popularize feeds and microformats in general.

Find out all about microformats, webslices.

Now when will they learn to make standalone versions of their browser, instead of forcing every version upgrade? That would solve a lot of trouble. (I know, there is always MultipleIE.)

I'm predicting a huge discussion about the 'new' meta tag invented by IE. Justed wanted to say that I completely share Jeremy Keith's opinion here. The idea can work, but the default behavior is completely wacked and wrong.

I wonder why they did that, but I'm sure it will lead to some highly entertaining discussions.
